Thalay La Trek

The Thalay La Trek is a scenic, moderate, high-altitude route in Baltistan that connects Shigar Valley with Thalay Valley via the Thalay La Pass (4,900m). Detailed Itinerary

Day 01

ISLAMABAD

Arrival in Islamabad.

Day 02

ISLAMABAD – SKARDU/CHILAS

Fly to Skardu or drive to Chilas (by air/van).

Day 03

SKARDU (2300m)

Day free in Skardu. Begin trekking/camping preparations.

Day 03 (Evening)

SKARDU – KHASUMIK (3400m)

04 hrs drive by jeep to Khasumik.

Day 04

KHASUMIK – DUBLA KHAN (4100m)

05 hrs trek.

Day 05

DUBLA KHAN – DASERPA (4572m)

07-08 hrs trek.

Day 06

DASERPA

Rest day.

Day 07

DASERPA – SHIGAR – SKARDU

04-05 hrs trek to Shigar, then ½ hr by jeep to Skardu. End of trekking/camping.

Day 08

SKARDU – ISLAMABAD

Fly to Islamabad or drive by van.

Day 09

FLY OUT

Transfer to the Airport for onward flight to abroad.
