Spantik Climbing Expedition – Golden Peak (7027m)

Spantik (7027m), also known as Golden Peak, is one of the most popular 7,000-meter peaks in the Karakoram Range, located in the Nagar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan. Its relatively accessible route, breathtaking summit panorama, and golden glow at sunrise and sunset make it a favorite among both seasoned mountaineers and aspiring high-altitude climbers. The southeast ridge route offers a non-technical but physically demanding climb, involving glacier travel, snow slopes, and some crevassed areas. The expedition begins with a scenic trek from Arandu village through stunning valleys and alpine meadows to the base camp at around 4,100 meters.
