Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world and second highest in Pakistan, stands at 8125m in the western Himalaya. Known as the 'Killer Mountain' due to its tragic climbing history, it features dramatic faces like the Rupal Face (5000m) and the Raikot Face, which drops over 7000m into the Indus Valley. The west side, known as the Diamir Face, is the most commonly used route. First climbed in 1953 by Hermann Buhl, this mountain remains one of the most iconic and challenging peaks on Earth.
